Sure, we know that Gmail Notifier is a downloadable application that alerts you whenever you have new Gmail messages. Once it is installed you will be able to:

Automatically check for new messages every two minutes.

See a snippet of text from up to 30 unread messages.

Select a sound to indicate when you have new mail.

Make Gmail your default email application.

That is correct! So now when you click on a mailto: link your Gmail account will be the default. (Not everyone uses Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail)

Vista Service Pack 1 Lead Balloon

I hoped that Vista Service Pack 1 was the answer to making Vista an operating system I could thumbs up. But alas, it is not to be.
