Verizon New Wireless Shared Nothing Plan

I heard the rumors earlier this year that Verizon would be announcing a shared plan, and was hoping that it actually might save us some money. WRONG!

Verizon outlined to investors how these new wireless plans would help it make more money. Because that’s what it’s all about, more money for them.

Verizon Wireless botched the launch of its Share Everything voice, texting and data plans by making too many drastic and costly changes at once, analysts said Wednesday.

After the shared plans come into effect later this month, Verizon’s unlimited data customers who want to get a new phone at a discounted price will have to pick either a limited data plan or a shared plan.

As I see it, as long as we don’t buy a new subsidized phone we can keep our legacy data plan. Swell.
