Firefox Goodies

I wanted to share some Firefox goodies with you all, since I can’t slip you some homemade holiday cookies that one of my sisters whipped out yesterday. (Seems some of you all have to make like 8 dozen cookies as a holiday tradition to handout to friends and family) (Which is cool, I can be the unofficial taste tester)

I digress…

If you have Firefox, you will want this program called MozBackup. The program packages up all your essential Firefox and Thunderbird settings: bookmarks, mail, contacts, history, extensions, cache etc. (Let me save you from hunting through the site for the program) Here is the link for the download zip file.

How about 15 Firefox extensions for your browsing pleasure?

But wait, there’s more!

How to set up multiple homepages in Firefox…

If there’s more than one site you always visit after starting up Firefox, you can set your homepage to open several tabs of different web sites at once automatically.

From Firefox’s Tools menu, Options, General, enter the addresses of sites separated by a pipe |, as shown above. Or, you can open up all the sites in tabs and hit the “Use Current Pages” button. Thanks, Robert!

Or you could use PermaTabs instead of typing in the addresses of sites you always visit.

Firefox has all kinds of goodies. This also works for a regular url shorcut.
