Adobe Switched on Reader Silent Updates

Not really sure why Adobe hasn’t done this before now and it is about time.

Adobe switched on silent updating for its popular Reader PDF viewer, the company announced Tuesday.

The next time an update is detected by Reader, Adobe will present a dialog box asking users to allow silent updating. In the dialog, the box “Install updates automatically” will be checked by default.

Sure you have options not to do it, but come on people, start updating your PC’s. That includes pop ups from Flash, Java, Microsoft, Google, Apple…etc.

The few minutes you spend keeping your system patched will save you time and money if it gets hacked because you were too busy not to keep it updated.
